Planning the BEST Bachelorette Weekend on Cape Cod

It all begins with an idea.

Cape Cod is undeniably one of New England’s top destinations for Summer time fun. Within the Cape’s expansive borders, you are sure to find something for everyone, regardless of age, gender, or hobby. We have curated a break down of all of the BEST things to do, places to visit, food to eat, and accommodations to stay while your visiting! Call up the gals and get planning!

When should I plan to stay on Cape Cod?

If you are the kind of person who enjoys sunshine, warm weather, and the masses that come with the perfect beach day, then Summertime (Memorial Day through Labor Day) is for you! Summers on the Cape include weather that is nothing short of perfect, local businesses throughout that are open and running for the season, and the buzz of locals and visitors alike everywhere, at all times. Now, if you’re looking for good beach weather with fewer crowds and less traffic, then September is primetime for you. There is still plenty to do, beaches to enjoy, and great fun to be had. On the opposite ends of the summer months, you can test your luck on having good weather. May and October boast minimal crowds, but you face a higher likelihood of cool weather. During these months outside of the busy season, you may want to focus your plans toward non-beach activities while hoping to get lucky with a day of good weather where you could move your activities to the beach!

November through April is the offseason where the Cape takes a moment to rest and reset. Several businesses are closed for the winter, however, the beauty of Cape Cod remains. Quiet sunrises, slow mornings, and brisk air make for a cozy and memorable stay on Cape Cod.

Where do I start with planning?

Every great bachelorette trip takes planning, preparation, and, of course, an itinerary.

  1. Pick a date: Start with a date range that works for your group (reference the seasonal pointers listed above to help determine which time of year you’d like to visit).

  2. Lodging: After you’ve determined when you’ll be visiting, finalizing lodging is the next step! Cape Cod is rife with rental homes throughout the entire peninsula from Bourne to Provincetown that can be found on Airbnb, Vrbo, or local sites like WeNeedAVaction.com. If you’d prefer a hotel, fret not. There are plenty of hotels as well - some of our favorites are

    Chatham Bars Inn

    The Pelham House Resort

    The Wequasset Resort

The Mirabeau Inn - just a short ride off Cape in Plymouth MA

  3. Attractions: So now you have your date and your lodging sorted out, let’s get to the nitty gritty. What is there to do while we are visiting? The recommendations are endless… Early morning sunrises on the national seashore, ocean excursions (boating, whale watching, paddle boarding, kayaking, etc…), a visit to the Cape Cod Winery, delicious seafood, bistros and bars, line dancing with Salty Boots, fireworks on the beach, sunsets at the beach, a day trip to Nantucket or Martha’s Vineyard, dune buggy tours, regular live performances, and, of course, a picnic with us! We can host you right where you are staying, at a nearby beach, or even a park (shoot us an email for our recommendation for your specific needs!).

Don’t let the party stop while you’re getting around the Cape - ride to your excursions all together and party the whole way there with the Funk Bus! They have bus options that can accommodate up to 30 guests.

When you arrive, be sure to plan out stops at some of the BEST restaurants Massachusetts has to offer. There are so many options, allowing you to keep up with the daily themes of the trip… Fine dining for the night out when you and the girls want to dress up, bars and bistros for the late night party, classic Italian, American, and French food options for the night when you can’t decide what you’re in the mood for, and seafood for the relaxed night out by the ocean. Some MUST-VISIT food spots are

  1. The Beachcomber

  2. Fishermen’s View

  3. The Ocean House

  4. Maison Villate for a sweet bakery treat

There are several grocery store options as well if needed!

We’re ready to build our itinerary and start the countdown!
